CalcRoute, consists of two modules, both designed to help you consolidate less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments, simultaneously lowering your carbon footprint and minimizing your freight costs.
Optimizer Software
Working with both inbound and outbound shipments, this software module analyzes and combines LTL shipments into truckloads, saving you up to 50% of your freight costs.
If you are a truckload shipper you can also use the CalcRoute Optimizer to save significantly by maximizing load capacity and minimizing the distance traveled.
Features include:
- integrates with CalcRate/ERP/WMS
- schedules release time to accomodate due-date
- based on release-time, will advise arrival date and time
- integrates with most major mileage databases
- accomodates unlimited stops per truck (average 3-10)
Pool Software
This software module analyzes historical shipping data to help you determine where to locate pool distribution, saving you up to 8% of your freight costs.
You can analyze your pool locations to determine whether you can save by relocating them to accomodate changing shipping patterns.
The Optimizer and Pool modules are fully integrated logistics tools and can be used in conjunction with each other. Shipments to a pool location can even be part of a multistop truckload.
